A wind advisory goes into effect in parts of central South Dakota at noon today (Wed.) and a freeze watch starts at midnight.
Weatherology meteorologist Nick Carlyle says the wind is a major factor creating the freeze watch.
Carlyle says its not unusual to have a hard freeze this time of year.
Highs over the next few days are forecast to be in the upper 30s to lower 50s, which Carlyle says is below normal.
