As part of its 2018 national concert tour, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band will perform Monday (Oct. 15) at 7:30pm at Riggs High School in Pierre.
US Marine Band director Col. Jason Fettig says the tour is an annual tradition.
Fettig says there’s a little bit of everything included in their music selections.
One selection the US Marine Band will play was inspired by a stop in South Dakota over 100 years ago.
Fettig says the majority of the US Marine Band is on tour this month, but there is a group still in Washington, DC, to perform.
Again the US Marine Band concert Monday in Pierre is free and open to the public. To reserve your tickets go to ticketleap.com and search for the Marine Band.
The group will also perform in Aberdeen, SD, Oct. 14 and in Sioux Falls, SD, Oct. 16.
The concert is sponsored by Riggs High School, the Dakota Radio Group and the Capital Journal.
