Voters in Walworth County have defeated a bond issue to build a new jail.
Sixty-nine percent (1524) of voters said no, while 31 percent (698) were in favor.
In the auditor’s race, republican Rebecca Krein received 79 percent (1695) of the vote, defeating independent Charisse Janke who took 21 percent (461) of the votes.
