Businesses and individuals in the Fort Pierre and Pierre communities were recognized last night (Thurs.) at the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual celebration.
CEO Jamie Seiner says five awards were presented.
The out going and incoming chamber board presidents were also recognized.
This year’s event was extra special, as the Chamber celebrated it’s 75th Anniversary as well as its new ‘Loyal2Local’ campaign.

The event honored the:
- 2018 Family Business of the Year presented by the Prairie Family Business Association to A.G.E. Corporation Contractors
- 2018 Ambassador of the Year to Jackie Putzier of Northstar Financial Services
- 2018 Outstanding Hospitality Award to Keith Lott of Dakotamart
- 2018 Pierre Pride Award to Don Zeller– a local volunteer and historian
- 2018 Chamber Business of the Year Award to Beck Motors
The Chamber presented a plaque to outgoing President of the Board of Directors, Bryan Beck of Beck Motors and welcomed incoming President Jennifer Anderson of Anderson, Nill & Associates.
