Yesterday’s (April 11) COVID-19 update from the South Dakota Department of Health’s website shows the positive case in Lyman County that triggered the only Public Health Intervention order issued by the state, so far, has recovered.
Three of the four positive cases in Hughes County have recovered.
Other key points in Saturday’s data are:
- 90 new cases for a total of 626 positive cases in the state since the pandemic began
- 4 new hospitalizations
- No new deaths
- 12 new individuals recovered from COVID-19; A TOTAL of 189 HAVE RECOVERED
- 267 new negative tests performed for a total of 7378 negative results since testing began in the state
- 86 of the new cases reported are Minnehaha County residents. Of the 438 total cases reported in Minnehaha County, 238 are individuals who work at Smithfield Foods.
- It is important to note that Minnehaha county is currently experiencing substantial community spread of COVID-19.
