The Mobridge Pollock Volleyball team competed in Lemmon last night and it was a thriller. The Lemmon Cowgirls started the evening by defeating the Mobridge Pollock Lady Tigers in the first set 27 to 25. The Lady Tigers would come back in set number two winning 25 to 16. Mobridge Pollock had a great third set winning 25 to 15. The fourth set belonged to Lemmon winning it 25 to 20 and it all came down to the fifth and final set. It was close but the Lady Tigers held on to a 15 to 11 victory and the match win. Channing Wientjes had 15 kills for Mobridge Pollock, Landyn Henderson had 13 and Megan Zahn had 12. Callie Weisbeck had 31 assists on the night. Emily Wientjes, Haley Brocklel, Emma Keller, and Ava Stoick all had two aces from the service line. The Lady Tigers will play in a tournament tomorrow in Onida. Tonight, Northcentral will be at home in Leola against Ipswich Edmunds Central. The Mobridge Pollock Tigers will be at home against the Sisseton Redmen tonight for the Tiger Homecoming game. The National Honor Society will be serving a Bar-B-Q and Soup Supper tailgate party starting at 5:30 at Tiger Stadium. All the proceeds will go to refreshing the roof at Wade Keller’s house.
