BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota Department of Health reported eight additional deaths due to complications from the coronavirus, raising the eight-day total to 34 and the overall total to 212. The fatalities confirmed Thursday included five combined in Burleigh and Morton counties, considered the state’s hot spot in the last two months. Burleigh leads the state in active cases with 705, out of a record 3,483 cases statewide. The update showed 471 positive COVID-19 tests from 38 counties in the last day after 7,022 tests were processed. Burleigh County had the most cases with 118, followed by Cass County with 78, Morton County with 43 and Stark County with 31.
