HOT SPRINGS – Chamberlain finished a strong second Tuesday at the Class A Boys Golf State Championships at Southern Hills Golf Course. The Cubs shot 671, 22 shots behind state champion Sioux Falls Christian.
Dakota Munger was one of just two in the 101-player field to break 80 in both rounds, shooting 78 and 79 for 157 to finish third individually, just one shot out of second. Munger’s Cub teammate, Cameron Caldwell, finished fourth, only one shot further back at 158. Drayton Priebe shot 169 overall and equaled the second-best round on Tuesday with a 76. Sandler Wiekamp shot 187 and Max Kelsey fired a 215.
Winner Area finished 13th as a team, led by Karston Keiser with 180.
