A 61 year old man from Cherry Creek, SD, convicted of Voluntary Manslaughter was sentenced in U.S. District Court.
Jerome White Horse, Jr., must spend 63 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, and a special assessment to the Federal Crime Victims Fund in the amount of $100.
On February 12, 2020, in Cherry Creek, White Horse and another person assaulted a man who crashed his vehicle during a medical emergency. White Horse used a garden hoe to strike the victim in the head. The victim died of injuries sustained during the assault.
White Horse was immediately remanded to the custody of the US Marshals Service.
