For a little while, I thought I was going to go to film school. After realizing how much it cost and the return on investment wasn’t the greatest, I changed my goals. I have the hardest time sitting still at movies, but I do enjoy seeing what folks come up with. BuzzFeed has put together a list of things that happen in movies that aren’t realistic to everyday life. It’s kind of crazy how most of these have kind of driving me crazy most of my life! Let me know what you think of these! Do you agree with them or do you think this article is exaggerating everything?
- No one ever waits for anything. A taxi appears out of nowhere… food magically appears after two minutes… that sort of stuff
- A guy kisses a girl to stop a fight and it works every time. In real life, it doesn’t always work in the guy’s favor!
- Cops NEVER have a ton of paperwork but in real life, they have a ton!
- No one ever has a hard time hearing after gunshots. Coming from someone who shot competitively for years, that’s always a struggle if your ear protection doesn’t work correctly.
- There are always open parking spots. It doesn’t matter the city.
- Folks always make plans for stuff but never set times. They always say, do you want to go out later? Not do you want to go out at 5 pm?
- Villians always waste a ton of time before killing someone instead of just killing them!
- People wake up early enough in the mornings to make these huge breakfasts and never look tired
- Every conversation has perfect grammar and no one ever interprets anyone
- Someone who was super sick and in the hospital for a long period of time can just get up and walk without theory
- When a woman is in labor, she never has a c-section or an epidural to help her with the pain
- Car’s always exploded… not very many of them just catch on fire.
- Women always have perfect make-up and hair no matter what situation they are in
- The main character always lives in this huge house that is perfectly decorated and everything is expensive
- People always walk towards dangerous situations instead of running away from them… especially in horror movies
- People just leave their normal lives for a trip or an adventure… they don’t have to request time off… schedule things out and that sort of thing
