Here are your Feel Good Friday stories for this week . . .
1. There’s an eight-year-old in Massachusetts named Danny Sheehan who’s been fighting brain cancer. And he loves the “Aquaman” movies. So last year, he got a FaceTime call from Jason Momoa. And last week, his town unveiled a new MURAL with both of them on it . . . both dressed as Aquaman. (Here’s a photo.)
2. Someone in New Hampshire walked into a restaurant called the Stumble Inn Bar & Grill the other day . . . spent $38 . . . and tipped the staff 16 GRAND.
3. The dating app Bumble has about 700 employees worldwide. And they had a stressful year, because so many people have been using the app during the pandemic. So the company gave ALL of them this week off, fully paid. Only a few customer support people are working. But they’ll also get a week off once everyone else is back
4. A family in England just got their dog back 11 YEARS after it disappeared from their yard as a puppy. Someone found it on the street, and a vet scanned its microchip. Its name is Crumpet, and they still don’t know if it ran off or someone stole it. They’re just glad to have their dog back.
5. A principal in Palm Coast, Florida named Jeff Reaves is going viral after he wrote 459 personalized notes . . . one for every graduating senior at his school. He left them on their seats before they got their diploma.
6. A 14-year-old kid in western New York named Nathan Adams started a lawn-mowing business last month and calls himself “The Lawn Kid.” And he’s on a mission this summer to mow 50 lawns for 50 veterans for FREE. His grandfather passed away in February, and he was an Army vet. So that’s what inspired him.
7. A small apartment building in Boston caught fire on Tuesday. And before firefighters got there, a COP kicked in the front door to get people out. No alarms went off, so some of them were still asleep. But in the end, all nine people inside made it out.
