Trappers Lose Wild Series Opener To Hastings

PIERRE – Two big innings kept the Pierre Trappers in Friday’s game with the Hastings Sodbusters at Hyde Stadium, but Hastings outlasted the Trappers 15-12.

Pierre (10-26) was down 9-1 before scoring five runs in the home fourth.  Later, the Trappers trailed 14-6 before scoring four in the seventh.  They also added two in the eighth.  Joseph Bramanti hit his fifth and sixth home runs for Pierre and drove in three.  Brock Rinehart homered and drove in four.

Ian Riley homered and drove in four runs for Hastings.

These teams will play a doubleheader of two seven-inning games Saturday at Hyde Stadium at 5:35.
