Did porta-potties wrapped in big advertisements ever become a thing. Looking over my show notes from a few years back and was reminded of a company that planned to wrap porta-potties in giant advertisements. So, the typical blue porta-pottie could, say, look like a Coke can. Or 4 or 5 of them side-by-side could act as a wide billboard. I never see these, though. Maybe because companies don’t want to be associated with a small plastic building where we do our business.
The company had planned to include GPS and RFID tags in the porta-potties to track the number of people who come and go, giving advertisers instant feedback on the number of people who are not only using the units, but also seeing the ads.
