1. This happened a few months ago, but the video is going viral. An opera singer was performing in Italy, and there was a part where a guy was supposed to sing. But she was performing solo, so they just skipped those lyrics . . . or planned to. When no one sang, a guy in the AUDIENCE stood up and started singing, and he was pretty good. Turns out he’s a 24-year-old music student from China, but he sang in Italian. He got invited backstage for pictures and an autograph.
2. A 60-year-old guy in North Carolina just hit the lottery for $4 MILLION . . . and he says he got his numbers from a fortune cookie.
3. A six-year-old in Alabama named Kayden Reid got a hero’s welcome from his local fire department after he got home from the hospital last week. He ran out into the street to save his little sister from being hit by a car, and HE got hit instead. But he’s okay. Firefighters showed up at his house the next day to thank him for being so brave. They gave him a tour of their truck, and let him sit up front. He decided to wear his Superman Halloween costume for it.
4. Two 12 and 13-year-old boys in Rhode Island recently saved three dogs from a fire. They heard their neighbor’s smoke detectors going off . . . realized no one was home . . . got the door code from another neighbor . . . and got the dogs out. It turned out one of the dogs had jumped up and turned on a burner to the stove while a wood cutting board on top of it. The cutting board is toast, but the house survived.
5. A 19-year-old from Belgium named Zara Rutherford just set a cool record. She’s now the youngest woman to ever fly solo around the world. And she didn’t just break it, she crushed it. The previous record was 30 years old.
6. A high school football team near Pittsburgh is in the news after their weightlifting session got cancelled by severe weather last week . . . so they went out and shoveled people’s driveways instead. The coach of Bethel Park High sent out a message telling his team to shovel the driveway of someone who’s elderly or disabled, and to not accept any money for it. Turns out it’s actually a tradition for the team that dates back more than 20 years.
7. A guy in Alabama was renovating a house he bought, and found a wedding ring under the carpeting. Turns out the couple who sold him the house lost it and hadn’t seen it in 30 years. They’re both in their 90s now, and he got the ring back to them.
8. A high school junior in Texas named Maddie Barber made $30,000 at her county livestock show this month, but didn’t keep it. Instead, she gave ALL of it to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. She wanted to give back after they helped her beat brain cancer four years ago.
9. A cop in Sioux Falls is going viral after he arrested a DoorDash driver for outstanding warrants . . . then delivered the Arby’s order that was sitting in the guy’s car
