SIOUX CENTER, IA – Olivia Swenson scored in overtime Sunday to give the Oahe Capital girls a 3-2 win at Sioux Center and break the Capitals’ eight-game winless streak.
Sara Bierne tied the game for the Capitals (4-7-2) with 5:11 left in the third period, only 28 seconds after Amanda King had given Sioux Center a 2-1 lead.
Brylee Kafka scored for the Capitals in the first period.
Abagail Stewart-Fromm made 16 saves.
The Capitals will host Watertown Saturday at the Expo Center as part of the “Pink The Rink” day, the fundraiser to help fight cancer.
