Duffy, who won the South Dakota State Hoop Shoot in his age division in February in Pierre through four tiebreaker rounds, won this time in the second tiebreaker round over Montana state champion Alex Rivas.  The two were tied through regulation 25 free throws.  Both hit five-of-five in the first tiebreaker round, then Duffy made five and Rivas four in the second tiebreaker round.

Duffy will next compete against 11 other regional champions on April 30 at the Elks Hoop Shoot National Finals in Chicago.  National champions from each division are enshrined into the National Basketball Hall of Fame.
