JULY 29, 2022:
A 31-year-old man from Lemmon is the person who died Saturday morning (July 23, 2022) in a one-vehicle crash 30 miles east of Bison.
Preliminary crash information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol indicates Nathan Bootz was driving a 2001 Chevrolet C3500 service truck westbound on South Dakota Highway 20 when the he failed to negotiate a left curve. The driver over corrected and the vehicle overturned.
Bootz, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
