Good News Story of the Day — Like here in South Dakota, it’s been over 100 degrees this week in Indio, California, so nobody could blame the two deer who were seen struggling in the California Canal after presumably hopping in for a swim. The deer were successfully rescued by officers of the Indio Police Department, with help from Riverside County Animal Control and Cal-Fire. The rescuers used ropes to pull the deer to safety. They were checked for injuries and taken to the County of Riverside Animal Services.
