Bono Once Drank Wine with President Obama

Bono and his wife Ali Hewson had an interesting White House visit back when Barack Obama was in office.

First of all, he claims that Obama mixes, quote, “strong cocktails.” And on top of that, Bono drank red wine, which he’s allergic to.  He says it makes his head “swell up like a balloon,” and causes him to, quote, “fall asleep somewhere.”

So when the time came, Bono dipped, and found a room to crash in. When Ali and the president found him, he was in the Lincoln bedroom. Bono says, quote, “There I was in Lincoln’s bedroom, asleep, fallen asleep in the bosom of Abraham himself. He just woke me up and laughed. President laughed his head off.”

He adds, quote, “But he does tell people that he drinks me under the table, he doesn’t believe the allergy thing.”
