State government executive branch offices in the following counties will close at 2pm CT today (March 31, 2023): Douglas, Sanborn, Aurora, Beadle, Charles Mix, Brule, Davison, Gregory and Jerauld.

Governor Kristi Noem has added three more counties to the list of state government executive branch offices that are closed today (March 31, 2023) because of winter storms in South Dakota.
Mellette, Todd and Tripp counties have been added to the list that also includes these counties in the central part of the state: Buffalo, Campbell, Dewey, Edmunds, Faulk, Hand, Hughes, Hyde, Jones, Lyman, Potter, Stanley, Sully and Walworth.
Other counties where state government executive branch offices are closed today are: Brown, Clark, Codington, Corson, Day, Deuel, Grant, Hamlin, Marshall, McPherson, Roberts and Spink counties. While these offices are closed, state employees will be working remotely.
Citizens should be prepared to stay home if possible.
If South Dakotans must travel, they should check sd511.org, call 511 from any landline or cellular phone or use the SD511 mobile app. All 511 services are free of charge.

State government executive branch offices are closed today (March 31, 2023) in the following counties: Brown, Buffalo, Campbell, Clark, Codington, Corson, Day, Deuel, Dewey, Edmunds, Faulk, Grant, Hamlin, Hand, Hughes, Hyde, Jones, Lyman, Marshall, McPherson, Potter, Roberts, Spink, Stanley, Sully and Walworth Counties. While executive branch offices in these counties will be closed, state employees will be working remotely.
These counties will be in either blizzard warnings or ice storm warnings throughout the day. Freezing rain, snow and high winds will occur across much of the state.
