BROOKINGS – Chamberlain’s girls and the Milbank and Miller boys had top-10 finishes Monday at the Scott Underwood Invitational Track & Field Meet at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.
Chamberlain’s girls finished in fifth with 28 points. The Gregory boys were fifth with 30 points and Miller was ninth with 21.
For Chamberlain’s girls, Kinsey Evans and Aine Graesser were first and second, respectively, in the 3200 meters. The Cubs’ 4×800 relay team of Evans, Graesser, Kylah Biggins and Allison Hough finished second. Biggins finished sixth in the 1600 meters. Hough was ninth in the 400 meters. Tobi Peterson placed ninth in the shot put.
Daniel Mitchell of the Gregory boys won the high jump, clearing six feet, four inches. Kade Stukel was second in the 100 and 200 meters. Finn Adams, Luke Barreto, Pierce Stukel and Luke Sinclair were fourth in the 4×800 relay.
Miller boys had third-place finishes from Alex Schumacher in the 1600 meters, Pierce Baumberger in the 3200 meters and Isaak Hunter in the 300 meter hurdles. Baumberger was also seventh in the 1600 meters.
