Willie Nelson is the recipient of the 2023 Lyndon B. Johnson Liberty and Justice for All Award. He’ll be honored at a gala on May 12th, and there will be performances from Eric Church, Sam Hunt, Elle King, and Lyle Lovett.
Proceeds will benefit the Willie Nelson Endowment for Uplifting Rural Communities fund at the University of Texas at Austin. It supports research and student fellowships that focus on sustainable agriculture, eliminating hunger, and natural disaster recovery that benefit rural communities.
