Norm and Cliff Said Goodbye to the “Cheers” Bar as it Hits the Auction Block

The actual bar from the set of “Cheers” hit the auction block recently in Dallas, Texas, and George Wendt and John Ratzenberger got together to sit at it and say goodbye.

The bar includes the counter in three sections with brass railings, the burgundy barstools, and the back bar unit. It’s also autographed by several of the stars. Both Ratzenberger and the late Kirstie Alley actually carved their names into it. The current bid on the bar is $100,000.

George says the cast still gets together, but not all at once.  Quote, “We catch each other in bits and pieces.  It’s kind of hard.  It’s like herding cats trying to get us all together.”
