The No Labels Party political party is now officially recognized in South Dakota.
Secretary of State Monae Johnson says her approval of the petitions allows for candidates at the federal, state and county levels to run as recognized members of the No Labels party for the 2024 election cycle. She says the party now has 30 days to adopt a constitution or bylaws governing the organization and submit the information to the Secretary of State’s office.
According to the No Labels Party’s website, they are affiliated with the Problem Solvers Caucus, a group of like-minded democrats and republicans serving in the US House and Senate. Among those members are South Dakota US Representative Dusty Johnson.
The No Labels Party is new to South Dakota and currently has no registered voters. It joins the Democrat, Libertarian and Republican parties as being officially recognized in the state.
