Biden, Noem issue orders to lower flags to half-staff until sunset on Monday

President Joe Biden has issued a proclamation ordering the United States flag to be lowered to half-staff from now until sunset on Monday (Oct. 30, 2023) as a “mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on October 25, 2023, in Lewiston, Maine.”

Additionally, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has ordered that flags be flown at half-staff statewide until sunset on Monday.
