The South Dakota Hall of Fame invites the public to nominate a champion of South Dakota who has made an impact in their community, state, and beyond to be included in the pool of candidates being considered for the Class of 2024.
While the process is simple, it does require gathering materials and writing (a full list of required materials can be found online at sdhalloffame.org). These materials are required, and they serve as a road map of how a person has made an impact to community, state, and beyond.
“Selecting our Inductees and honoring them by preserving their stories is at the core of what our organization does,” explained Laurie Becvar, South Dakota Hall of Fame’s CEO. “We continue to find ways to strengthen our processes and practices. For example, this year we are adding Inductee Nomination Seminars to strengthen education about the nomination packet and to provide guidance about the nomination process.”
Anyone who would like to learn more about nominating an individual into the South Dakota Hall of Fame may register for one of the organization’s free Inductee Nomination Seminars to be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 3 PM CT/2 PM MT at the South Dakota Hall of Fame Visitor and Education Center in Chamberlain and via Zoom, as well as Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11 AM CT/10 AM MT via Zoom.
