SIOUX FALLS – In its first action in nearly two weeks, Pierre Governor Baseball lost both ends of a doubleheader to Lincoln Friday in Sioux Falls, 13-1 and 10-9.
Lincoln scored three runs in the first inning of the first game, followed by five runs in the third and five more in the fourth. Spencer Easland drove in the only Governor run with a sacrifice fly.
Pierre trailed 7-1 and 10-2 in the nightcap before scoring four runs in the sixth inning and three more in the seventh. Lincoln Kienholz was three-for-three with two RBI. Gary Nedved had two hits for the Governors (3-5), who will play a doubleheader with Washington on Saturday in Sioux Falls.
