ABERDEEN – 11 individuals or teams won events for the Pierre Governors Thursday at the Al Salhi Invitational Track & Field Meet at Swisher Field.
Autumn Iverson won the girls’ 1600 meters. Brianna Sargent won in the 3200 meters. Addison Cumbow placed first in the 100 meter hurdles. The 4×100 meter relay was won by the Governor team of Nevaeh Baade, Anastyn Baade, Cumbow and Aleise Christopherson. Maya Shorter won the discus.
Boys winners included Tucker Putzier, who set an event record in the 200 meters with a time of 22.56 seconds. Landon Bertram and Caden Thompson shared the best time in the 100 meters, 11.70 seconds. Pierre won the 4×100 relay with Thompson, Brock Moser, Putzier and Bertram. The Governor team of Carson Stoeser, Canyon Jones, Austin Foley and Josh Strand captured the 4×400. Aaron Campbell won the javelin for the fourth time in as many events.
