State of South Dakota employees will return to their offices in phases after Gov. Kristi Noem signed an executive order late last week (May 1) as part of her “Back to Normal” plan.
Noem says cabinet secretaries and bureau commissioners are evaluating how and when their employees come back to their offices.
Noem says the offices will be adjusted to follow CDC guidance as it pertains to COVID-19.
State employees will also continue to work remotely.
The Executive Order (2020-22) still allows administrative leave for employees who cannot come in and cannot work remotely. It also allows for approved out-of-state work-related travel.
