PAMPLONA, Spain (AP) — Bulls from Spain´s revered Miura ranch have starred in a fast and uncomplicated final running of the bulls at this year´s San Fermín Festival. The Navarra regional government said six people were treated for light injuries following Thursday’s (July 14, 2022) run. No horn gorings were reported. The Miuras are known for their alertness and speed of reaction, and they kept mainly in a pack and took little notice of the runners as they raced to the city’s bullring during the eighth and final 8 a.m. run of the year. The festival’s bulls are killed by professional bullfighters later in the day.

PAMPLONA, Spain (AP) — Spanish officials say three people have been gored, including one American, and three others suffered bruises in a tense fifth bull run at Pamplona’s San Fermín Festival. One man was gored on the street while two others were stabbed by a bull´s horn inside the bullring at the end of the run. It was the first run with gorings at the festival so far this year. Hundreds of runners, mostly men, run frantically ahead of and alongside six fighting bulls as they charge through the streets of this city in northern Spain. Tens of thousands of visitors have come to the Pamplona festival, which had a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
