FULL STORY: In “Brokeback Mountain”, Jake Gyllenhaal couldn’t quit Heath Ledger . . . and THIS GUY can’t quit robbing banks. (???)
A 67-year-old man in Maryland named Steven Gass was arrested last month . . . and was charged with several bank robberies in the area, including one on July 14th that led to his arrest.
He’s being called the “old man bandit,” not just because of his age, but because he’s been robbing banks for 45 YEARS . . . dating back to his first in 1977. (THAT WE KNOW OF, at least.)
His “extensive” hit list includes a conviction in 2010, when he pleaded guilty to robbing 19 banks in just two years, between 2008 and 2009. He did some time, but was granted a “compassionate release” in 2019 for medical reasons.
He’s currently being held without bond.
So when i think of a bank robbery, I think of ski mask, firearms, and possible hostages. So someone needs to explain to me how in the heck this old man robbed 19 banks in two years?? Something is not adding up. Possibly a hidden accomplice?? Let me know your thoughts below!
