Tim McGraw represented his father, the late Tug McGraw, at Tuesday’s World Series game. The camera found him wearing his dad’s Phillies jersey, and they put it on the jumbotron. The crowd went nuts. (Here’s a clip.)
Tug was on the mound and got the last out when the Phillies won the series in 1980. Tim went to Tuesday’s game with his wife Faith Hill and their three daughters, Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey. (They’re all in this clip. Don’t blink.)
Tug died from brain cancer in 2004, and Tim has been a huge supporter of the American Cancer Society ever since. (Here’s another photo of Tim at the World Series, with other supporters of StandUpToCancer.org.)
