Tomorrow (September 1, 2023) is the nomination deadline for the South Dakota Retailers Association’s Retailer of the Year, Restaurant of the Year and Community Service awards.
Nominations can be submitted online at sdra.org/awards.
Executive Director Nathan Sanderson says these awards are their way of giving back and recognizing those who make South Dakota a great place to live, work and raise a family. He says Retailers wants to hear from South Dakotans as to which businesses they feel are deserving of recognition.
Sanderson encourages people to consider the little shop on Main Street, the corner grocery store, or the go-to restaurant for inspiration. He says, some questions to ask yourself include:
-
What makes them stand out?
-
Have they done something above and beyond this year?
-
What continues to draw people in year after year?
-
Who is the best at what they do?
People may submit multiple nominees for the awards.
Winning individuals and families are recognized each January during the Association’s statewide Business Conference and Awards Reception in Pierre.
