Industrial hemp grown in open areas in North Dakota in 2023 totaled 740 acres, down 3% from last year, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
Industrial hemp harvested in open areas totaled 730 acres, up 9% from last year.
Industrial hemp grown under protection totaled 2,399 square feet, an increase from 700 square feet last year.
