FORT PIERRE – Stanley County has announced changes in its sports schedules after its schools switched to distance learning through the end of September due to COVID-19 cases among staff.
In football, the game scheduled at Wagner for Friday has been cancelled and will not be made up. Both of the Buffaloes’ final two regular-season home games have had dates changed. The game with Mt. Vernon/Plankinton at Ole Williamson Field, originally scheduled for Friday, October 2, will now be played on Monday, October 5 at 6:00 PM Central time. Stanley County’s homecoming game with Hot Springs, which had been scheduled for Friday, October 9, will now be played on Saturday, October 10 at 6:00 PM.
In volleyball, the Buffaloes’ home match with Sunshine Bible Academy will be played as scheduled on Thursday, October 1. A match with Potter County in Gettysburg, originally scheduled for this Thursday, will now be played on Monday, October 12.
