We are starting to see a warming trend and thank goodness for that! I’m tired of the cold and ready for warm weather! I was a hot mess and didn’t realize today was Fat Tuesday until a few minutes ago! So I hope today you get the opportunity to enjoy some pastries! Here are the crazy topics of the day!
Topic 1 Two hours outdoors is equivalent to 10,000 steps
I have a fitness tracker that is always yelling at me at the end of each hour to get up and get my steps in for the hour. But as soon as I get off work and get outside, that changes! I’m one of the most active people I know! Well according to Fox News, scientist are saying being outside for two hours a day is the same as getting your 10,000 steps. If you are adventurous, you know that there is so much to see outdoors. I love to hike and be outside They are saying that being outside and active is not only good for your physical health, it’s also good for your mental health! This is such an interesting study. You should check it out!
Topic 2 Family Internet Issues
It’s hard to believe that a month ago, I was back in Colorado for my grandfather’s funeral and the fire happened. How time has been moving lately. Well when I was home, my whole family was under the same roof. We all had at least two devices connected to the WiFi. my youngest brother was playing his video games and was getting mad because it was glitching. Well, there are a few arguments that families have over internet! Let me know if you have experienced any of these!
1. Too many devices connected at once.
2. People browsing the Internet on their phones at the dinner table.
3. Too many people using the Internet at once.
4. Kids going online when they shouldn’t be.
5. Someone turning off the WiFi while you’re using it.
6. Kids playing video games at peak times when you’re trying to work.
7. Too many apps connected to the Internet at once.
8. Someone downloading big files and slowing things down for everyone.
9. Someone using the Internet while you’re on a work call.
10. Having to make video calls with friends and family.
Topic 3 Wacky SD Laws that are still on the books
In every state I’ve lived in, I’ve always googled the wacky laws that are still on the books. They usually make you smile and think… “How did people come up with this?” Here are 10 laws that are still on the books that are odd according to Only in Your State!
- Horses can’t go into fountains unless they are wearing pants
- You can’t go to a cheese factory and fall asleep on the floor
- It’s illegal to show movies where cops are beaten, stuck, or treated badly
- In Huron, you can’t create static electricity
- On the front of a building that is a Casino, they can’t have a sign that says “Casino”
- Hotels have to have two twin beds in rooms that are two feet apart

- It’s illegal to mess with a Mink Den and disturb the animals
