South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard is hosting the annual meeting of the Western Governors’ Association today (Mon.) through Wednesday in Rapid City.
Executive director of the WGA Jim Ogsbury says the group is made up of the governors of the 19 western states and three Pacific Territories.
Gov. Daugaard is the current chair of the Western Governors’ Association and Ogsbury says he’s put together an exciting agenda for this meeting.
He says panel discussions will cover several topics.
Ogsbury says this group is focused on action.
Gov. Daugaard will release the first-year report of the Western Governors’ Workforce Development Initiative, his central policy effort as WGA Chair, during the opening round table today.
Approximately 400 people have registered to attend the meeting.
