Spearfish Blows Past Trappers

SPEARFISH – Consequences of too many walks again cost the Pierre Trappers in a 10-2 loss to the Spearfish Sasquatch at Black Hills Energy Stadium.

Pierre pitching walked 10 batters and allowed 10 hits.  Johnny McHenry and Ben Parker hit home runs for Spearfish, who scored four in the first inning, two in the third, and four more in the fifth.

The Trappers’ Jakob Newman and Cole Yancey had RBI singles in the ninth inning.

Pierre (2-4) will next play Friday at Sioux Falls.
