A 49-year-old Pierre man faces charges after being arrested over the weekend.
The Pierre Police Department reports officers received a request for a welfare check in the area of Fourth Street and Garfield Avenue late last night (Sun.). Officers arrived and located Keith Jackson who was on a motorcycle on Fourth Street. Officers attempted to make contact with him, however he fled the area. A slow speed pursuit was initiated by responding officers. The pursuit ended when Jackson stopped on his own accord.
Jackson was arrested for 3rd Offense DUI and Driving Under Suspension with further charges pending. He was taken to the Hughes County Jail.
