A 49-year-old Eagle Butte, South Dakota, man has been indicted by federal grand juries in two separate cases.
Tommy Shaving pled not guilty to Larceny in one Indictment and to Third Degree Burglary and Larceny in a second Indictment.
One Indictment alleges that in October, 2017, Shaving unlawfully took proceeds from checks written on two individuals’ checking accounts, valued at more than $1,000.
The second Indictment alleges in late November-early December, 2017, Shaving unlawfully entered and remained in the United Church of Christ church, with the intent to commit larceny. It also alleges in that same time frame, Shaving unlawfully took three star quilts, valued at more than $1,000.
Shaving was released on bond pending trial. A trial date has been set for
September 18, 2018.
