Through its All Within My Hands Foundation, hard rock musical group Metallica has donated $10-thousand to Feeding South Dakota.
The band made the presentation at the fifth stop of Leg 12 of the North American “WorldWired” tour in Sioux Falls yesterday (Tues.).
Feeding South Dakota, who serves the central part of the state through its office in Pierre, is the state’s only statewide hunger relief organization, working with agency partners in all 66 counties to provide food to individuals and families in need of food assistance. The $10-thousand donation will provide 30-thousand meals to the 1 in 9 people who are food insecure in South Dakota.
Metallica performed for a sold out crowd of more than 12-thousand people at the Denny Sanford Premier Center last night, setting a new attendance record.
