A 21-year-old Pierre woman has been charged with False Reporting after an investigation by the Pierre Police Department early this (Thurs.) morning.
Information from the police department shows officers were conducting a follow up investigation of an assault reported yesterday (Wed.) by Kira Waln. Waln admitted to falsely reporting the assault saying she was upset with the individual she had made the allegations against and the allegations were untrue.
Waln was taken to the Hughes County Jail.
