SC Clay Target Shooters Have Successful Fall Season

FORT PIERRE – Four athletes had top-three finishes from Stanley County High School in the fall 5-stand division of the South Dakota State High School Clay Target League.

Wyatt Mortensen finished in first place overall, followed by Jace Nickolas in second and Rylie Stoeser in third.  Sheridan Nickolas was second among females.

The team competed against shooters from North Dakota, Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, Alabama, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Coach Connie Johnson said, “It’s been fun working with these kids and seeing them improve their game.”
