RAPID CITY – After Rapid City Central played the Pierre Governor boys tightly through the first half, Pierre pulled away in the second 16 minutes Saturday for a 61-32 win at Naasz Gym to start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2018-19.
Lincoln Kienholz had 21 to lead Pierre. Ben Heisler scored 12 and Matthew Hanson scored eight.
The Governors led 29-20 at halftime before outscoring RC Central 18-3 in the third quarter and 32-12 in the second half.
