A 41-year-old Pierre man faces an aggravated assault charge after an incident Friday afternoon in Pierre.
The Pierre Police Department reports officers were called to the 600 block of West Sioux Avenue for a fight in progress. Through investigation, officers learned Sergio Moreno had attempted to strangle another person. The victim received non-life threatening injuries.
Moreno was arrested and taken to the Hughes County Jail.
