All-season fish cleaning station open in Fort Pierre
Fort Pierre
Fort Pierre’s new all-season fish cleaning station is officially open.
It’s located by the 5th Avenue boat ramp in Fort Pierre.
Regular operating hours are from 6am CT to 10pm CT.
The 24 foot by 40 foot building is equipped with brushes, hoses and stainless steel appliances.
It's one of about a handful of all-season fish cleaning stations in South Dakota.

Stanley County Schools create Buff’s Closet to assist students in need
Stanley County Schools in Fort Pierre has started a Buff’s Closet to assist with a variety of needs for students and they’re hoping the community will help fill it up with supplies.
Whether it be a snack, food to take home for the weekend or personal hygiene products, it will be available for all students. Examples of items needed include:
Rice
Daily snack items
Crackers
Noodles
Traditional pasta sauce
Cereal
Donations can be dropped off at the elementary or middle-high school office.

Lakota Language Night in Eagle Butte
Lakota Cultural Center in Eagle Butte
Lakota Language Night is held every Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at the Lakota Cultural Center in Eagle Butte.
Speaking and hearing the Lakota Language is part of all activities in this immersion experience. All relatives of every level of Lakota speaking are welcome to attend this meeting.
Meal and drinks will be provided. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a dish or whatever you can share with other relatives attending.
