MINOT, N.D. – The Souris Valley Sabre Cats scored 7 runs in the 4th inning and never looked back as they defeated the Pierre Trappers 14-6 in Expedition League baseball in Minot on Monday night. The Trappers have lost 4 straight and saw their season record drop to 5 and 5 on the year with the loss. Connor McDonald started the took the loss for the Trappers allowing 8 runs on 10 hits over 4 innings. Three Pierre pitchers allowed 17 hits to the Sabre Cats 3 hits apeice from 3 different players. Jon Stamper had two hits including his second home run of the season for the Trappers who had 8 hits in the contest. Stamper and Cal Smith both had their 9th RBI of the season. The Trappers will look to end the 5 game road trip tonight with a victory in Minot.
