ABERDEEN, S.D. – Sioux Falls O’Gorman led from start to finish with a two round total 648 to win the Class AA Girls State High School Golf Tournament that wrapped up Tuesday at the Moccasin Creek Golf Course in Aberdeen. O’Gorman recorded a 23 stroke victory over runner up Aberdeen Central. Sydney Wirebraugh of Aberdeen Central won the individual medalist honers with even par 72 yesterday and two round total 152, 4 shots better than first round leader Sophia Salter of O’Gorman. Emmy Sundby of Rapid City Stevens was third with a two round total 160. The Pierre Lady Governor golf team fired a second round 368 for a two round total 741 and a 9th place finish. Hallie Gronlund had an 88 yesterday for a two round total 180 and tied for 27th for the best score of the tournament for Pierre. Annabelle Simpson finished with a two round total 184 after a second round score of 92. Taylor Davis fired a 91 for a two round total of 187. Rilee Rowse had a 93 and 190 total score. Jessa McTighe finished with a 96 and two round total 196 and Kaitlynn Swenson had a 116 for two round total of 228. A total of 95 girls golfed in the tournament.
