PIERRE, S.D. – After allowing 23 runs in a loss to the Hub City Hot Shots on Wednesday night, the Pierre Trappers saw a close game get away from them in the late innings as Hub City won their second straight with a 9-2 win over Trappers Thursday night in Pierre in Expedition League Baseball at Hyde Stadium. Jackson Bak struck out 6 but took the loss as he allowed 3 runs over the first six innings and the Trappers offense could not help him out. Hub City scored 2 runs in the 7th and added 4 more in the 8th inning. Jack Stamper hit a solo home run for the Trappers, one of their 6 hits on the game. Jesse Spangler and Ty Denzer went yard for Hub City which has 3 wins this season, all over the Trappers. Pierre lost their second straight and 6 of their las 7 games. Pierre returns to action tonight at Hyde Stadium when they host the Spearfish Sasquatch in the first meeting of the season between the two clubs. Game time is scheduled for 6:35 pm.
