Defending State Champs Lead First Amateur Baseball Poll

WATERTOWN, S.D. – The state’s two defending state championship teams, the Renner Monarchs and Alexandria Angels, lead their respective classes in the first South Dakota amateur baseball poll of the season. Renner leads Class A and Alexandria Class B.
Here is the complete poll:
• Class A — 1. Renner Monarchs; 2. Sioux Falls Brewers; 3. Brookings Cubs; 4. Castlewood Ravens; 5. Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar. Also receiving votes — Sioux Falls Saints and Yankton Tappers.
• Class B — 1. Alexandria Angels; 2. Winner-Colome Pheasants; 3. Larchwood (Iowa) Diamonds; 4. Harrisburg Woodies; 5. Garretson Blue Jays; 6. Tabor Bluebirds; 7. Canova Gang; 8. Parkston Mudcats; 9. Crofton (Neb.) Blue Jays; 10. Madison Broncos. Also receiving votes — Dell Rapids Mudcats, Menno Mad Frogs, Dimock-Emery Raptors, Plankinton Bankers, Akron (Iowa) Rebels and Wynot (Neb.) Expos.
